Former presidential candidate Martha Karua has laughed off lawyer Ahmednassir Abdullahi's reaction to the alleged planned assassination of Deputy President William Ruto.
In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Martha Karua rubbished off Ahmednassir's message calling it a joke.
"What a joke! Why would that happen when @WilliamsRuto hesitates or refuses to make a written statement to the investigators? If tribe equals quilt all are guilty including you," she said.
Senior Counsel Ahmednassir had called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to disband his cabinet due to the allegations made by DP Ruto.
"In light of the allegations made by Deputy President William Ruto that about 4 members of the CABINET (same TRIBE) are planning to kill him, H.E Uhuru in my CONSIDERED view MUST DISBAND his cabinet/government and start a fresh...I don't think this has PRECEDENT in our history," he said.
On Monday, Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti confirmed that DP Ruto had called him over threats on his life.
Four Cabinet Secretaries from the Mt Kenya region were summoned by the DCI to record statements. However, they came out at the DCI offices but didn't record any statement citing unavailability of a written complainant to respond to.
