Gor travelled to Liverpool last week, and have been in training in readiness for the match. Among those who will be in attendance is former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, who also travelled to watch the boys take on Everton.

Ahead of the match, Raila urged Gor players to put in a good show, saying they can take any team head on since they are a good side as well.

"It is not a matter of life and death. The most important thing you're going to come and show up yourselves. And it's not a game between David and Goliath; it's David and David. Just go there and have confidence in yourselves, because sometime people go there and fear," said Odinga.

He added, "Just go there, have confidence and play your game. These are fellow human beings…Wana mbili na nyinyi mko na mbili…hawana tatu, ni wanaume kama nyinyi!”

Gor will become the first team to play Everton in English soil and will be a big plus for the team in terms of exposure.
