A section of Nyamira residents have reacted over the merger of Administration and Regular Police.
Led by Kefah Moenga, they said merging of police officers is good for the country.
"There is nothing bad merging the two because the officers work towards the same goal that is protecting us," he said.
Mr. Moenga said leaders opposed to police merger should find something constructive to do.
"Matiang'i is on the right track bringing the required changes in the police force. Those opposed to his hard work should focus on constructive activities," he added.
Jackline Bonarari, M-Pesa attendant in Nyamira town said there is no superiority in the police force hence police merger is good.
"Police merge is good for our officers because no one will see another to be more superior. Politicians interfering with Matiang'i's work should keep off," she noted.
Victor Swanya, a Nyamira based politicians welcomed the police merger saying the previous identification of police officers was discriminatory among the police officers.
