Nine people died Sunday morning after a bus headed to Nairobi collided head-on with a truck along the Salgaa stretch on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Nakuru County Police Commander Stephen Matu said the two vehicles collided at Kamara point.

The Sunday accident happened at 2am. The bus had 65 passengers on board.

The drivers of the two vehicles are among those who perished.
