AFC Leopards Coach Marko Vasiljevic has quit the Den, less than two months on the job.
Marko parted ways with the club after losing to Bandari by 4-1 over the weekend in a Sportpesa Premier League match played in Mombasa.
it is reported that after the final whistle, Marko broke the silence to the players and wished the entire team and management well.
Vasiljevic, who was appointed as Ingwe Coach in mid-December after the departure of head coach Nikola Kavazovic to South African side Free state stars, managed only two league wins in ten matches losing four and registering four draws.
“I will not be in charge of the next game. This is my final game and I want to wish the team the best of luck,” he said after the match.
It is reported that AFC players were held hostage and forced to wait for long before exiting from the stadium after irate fans blocked their way.
It took the intervention of the police to have the team leave the stadium.
The Serbian's job has been hanging on a thin thread following a series of poor results. The coach was summoned after the 1-0 defeat to KCB a few weeks ago and was served with a warning.
Leopards have not won the league since 1998.
