Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement leader Dr Alfred Mutua is pushing for the establishment of one industry in each constituency.
Mutua, who doubles up as the Machakos Governor, argues that the bill will transform various constituencies if it is adopted.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Ramogi FM on Wednesday, Mutua said that most constituencies have continued to lag behind yet they have resources because of the lack of industries.
He noted that the creation of industries will transform the lives of many Kenyans across the world.
“As party leader of @MCC_Party, we are currently drafting a money bill to urge the government to establish at least one industry in each constituency. We want our youth and women earn from these industries and the local economy to thrive from these industries,” he said.
The governor also said that he is engaging youths from different parts of the county to ensure that their lives are transformed. He noted that the young generation holds the keys to the future of this nation in various ways.
“I'm engaging my youth in Machakos to acquire skill-based training by offering free training at the government vocational centres. We need plumbers, Masons, dressmakers etc Let us look for work when we have the required skills and credentials.#RamogiFm,” he added.
