Most people think relationships are always smooth but that is not always the case. There will be good and bad times as well as numerous ups and downs.
However, hanging around someone who is in a bad mood can be quite disheartening.
Here are three things to do when your partner is in a bad mood.
1. Give your partner space
If your partner seems to be in a bad mood, take a hint and give them some alone time. Being in a bad mood does not mean they have stopped loving you. Giving them space will spare you the company of a moody person. Space will help your partner recompose themselves and get off of what led to the moods.
2. Pay attention to the triggers
Your partner could be responding to different situations with bad moods. It is important to keep watch of what leads to change of moods and discuss them out with your partner once they calm down. Moods only last for a short period of time thus you will always find time to have this conversation with your partner.
3. Offer empathy
Do not try at any cost to fix your partner's bad mood, rather you can offer a shoulder to lean on and words that will make them feel better. It is good to show how empathetic you are as this serves in letting your partner know you are by their side and you are trying to look at the situation from their point of view.
