Uhuru's speech focused more on corruption and the war against graft contrary to the expected political related issues amid the ongoing ‘confusion’ in the ruling Jubilee Party.

Kenyatta, who was accompanied by his Deputy President William Ruto, later paid a visit to the offices of the Senate and National Assembly majority leaders.

Both Aden Duale and Kipchumba Murkomen who are the National Assembly and Senate majority leaders respectively took to their Facebook pages to notify Kenyans of the visit by the Head of State and his deputy to their offices.

Duale on his post bragged about the importance of his office in the constitution.

“With President Uhuru Kenya, Deputy President Dr William Samoei Ruto and Speaker of the National Assembly, Speaker Justin Muturi when they called on me in my office at Parliament Buildings, Nairobi.

Leader of Majority in the National Assembly is an important office created by Article 108 of the constitution that links the Executive and the Legislature in a Presidential System of Government. Thanks to President Uhuru Kenyatta for having confidence in our leadership at the legislature,” Duale posted.

On his part, Murkomen’s post had no much difference from the one posted by Duale.

“With President Uhuru Kenya and Deputy President Dr.Ruto when they called on me in my office today after HE the President delivered a fantastic State of the Nation Address,” the outspoken Senator captioned.
