A Kisii based Jubilee politician Steve Arika said the county government of Kisii should not abandon the deceased family.

"Governor Ongwae's government abandoned the deceased in hospital when he pleaded for help. Now that he is dead he should be given a decent send-off because he is a legend who has left a legacy behind," said Arika.

Arika slammed leaders for ignoring the deceased when he was alive.

"It is sad that our leaders are now sending messages of condolences to the family of Mayioro yet they couldn't find time to visit him in hospital where he was receiving treatment. The family has nothing to facilitate Mayioro's death and therefore, leaders should intervene and help the family for burial arrangements," he added.

He urged the government not to forget the deceased family saying for the purpose of honoring him one of his children should be given a government job because most of them are educated but, jobless.
