In a tweet on Wednesday, the former Minister of Trade and Industry applauded Reuben, a former Strathmore University student for his essay "Systemic Interventions for Sustainable Capital Financing".

"I congratulated Reuben Muhindi Wambui of the Geneva Graduate Institute and ⁦@StrathU⁩ for being the global winner of the 2019 St Gallen Wings of Excellence Award at the St Gallen Symposium," he said.

Reuben was selected in the first position out of approximately 800 entries from students representing 350 universities globally. Over 100 different students from different countries participated in this prestigious event.

The St. Gallen Symposium is a world platform where students at their different level of education present their debates on political, economic and social developments.

The students can write essays which should meet certain requirements. They are assessed by a jury, through which the best are selected.

This platform gives a chance to students with excellent essays and innovative ideas to express themselves to people who can nurture them.
