Mr. Kibet claimed that some women are selling illegal drugs and illicit brew more especially 'chang'aa' and bhang to youths.

Kibet told members of the press in Kisii town on Tuesday that police officers will conduct a crackdown at the bus stop to flush out the woman selling illegal drugs.

"Drug abuse it at the peak at Kisii main bus stop because youths are buying the drugs cheaply from women pretending to be traders hawking ripe bananas, boiled eggs and oranges. Such women should either stop or surrender to police before we catch up with them," he said.

He urged youths to stop abusing drugs saying their lives will be ruined.

"Youths should venture into constructive activities because abusing drugs is endangering their lives. A crackdown will be done to ensure women selling chang'aa at Kisii main bus stop are kept off," he added.

The commander said drug barons won't be spared.

Kibet challenged leaders to be at the front line fighting the drugs menace.
