Instead, the party insists that no delegate meeting was done with respect to stipulated rules and regulations of the party.

"Any Delegates mtg in Migori held today is not an ODM Party event. It is not recognized by the Party leadership and the National Secretariat cc @RailaOdinga @JunetMohamed @edwinsifuna @EtalePhilip @Disembe @PhelixOchola @MoturiTony," the party tweeted.https://twitter.com/TheODMparty/status/1064577952233476096?s=19.

The party further said: "ODM has not held any DELEGATES meeting in Migori as is being purported. The bonafide officials in Migori County led by Chairman Philip Makabong'o & Secretary Jossy Olala are mandated to organize such mtgs in consultation with the Party Hqs @JunetMohamed @RailaOdinga @edwinsifuna."https://twitter.com/TheODMparty/status/1064576660173918208?s=19.

The latest development is a blow to Mr Obado, who is keen to mend fences with the party after fallout during Migori senatorial by-election held last month.

Mr Obado, who is also facing double murder charges and illegal possession of firearms, last week seemed to blame Raila Odinga for his woes.

"Please pray for me. The crocodile doesn't want me and I could be bitten. I need your prayers," he said in reference to Odinga.

He is accused of murdering his girlfriend Sharon Otieno and her unborn baby in September, a crime that saw him serve 34 days in remand.
