Renowned activist Boniface Mwangi has rubbished reports of theft at Deputy President William Ruto's home in Sugoi, Uasin Gishu County.
Four people on Monday were arrested with 10 crates of eggs which police suspect were stolen from the DP's expansive farm.
Eldoret West police boss Zachariah told journalists they commenced investigations after the farm's manager made a report about the disappearance of the eggs.
"We recovered trays from various suspects. Some had two, three and so forth. We are questioning the suspects," said Bittok.
The four suspects work at the farm and it is believed they took the eggs over the weekend.
However, Mwangi has dismissed the report saying it should be treated "with the contempt it deserves".
The activist related the alleged theft to a 2017 incidence when it was reported that an intruder had stormed in and put the lavish home under siege.
Police said they killed the lone intruder, who had reportedly snatched a gun from a security officer guarding the compound, after almost 20 hours full tension.
But according to Mwangi, the story was 'fake' since the intruder was never identified or his burial reported.
"In 2017 Deputy President Ruto's home was "allegedly" attacked by a lone man, he was never identified. Cops claimed that he held them off for 19 hrs. Today, police claim 10 crates of eggs were stolen from the home of the DP in Sugoi. Treat this story with the contempt it deserves," he tweeted.
