Baringo Woman Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot has drummed up support for the two-thirds gender bill.
The Woman MP has now called for the male counterparts to embrace women leadership for inclusive national gender parity and indiscriminative political environment.
The gender bill sponsored by Aden Duale, the National Assembly majority leader will be tabled in today's' (Tuesday) sitting which has stirred up diverse opinions.
Some legislators have hinted that they will oppose the bill citing to incur more waste of taxpayers’ money to sustain.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Monday, Cheruiyot opined that women can also play an influential part in the society as some cultures have overridden their potential headship which has demoted them to subservient positions perhaps denying them independence.
The two-thirds gender bill comes just in the backdrop of referendum quest to scrap political position to cut wage bill on government expenditure but Cheruiyot argued that increasing women representation in various leadership positions has no significant impact to the country's ballooning wage bill.
“Adding up female leaders on top of the existing women leadership in the parliament cannot fleece the country in any way and by doing so we recognize the female leadership of future generation,” she said.
