With President Uhuru Kenyatta serving his last term in office, his legacy is quickly being overshadowed by heartbreaking headlines of spiralling corruption.
It is a vice that has not only threatened to sabotage his legacy but is actually beginning to eat it up.
However, political analyst Prof Herman Manyora opines that the President can take drastic measures to safeguard the will of Kenyans and end corruption.
He says Uhuru should start by reconstituting the government.
"Ask all cabinet ministers and principal secretaries to tender their resignation, then reconstitute government afresh. Don't go for leaders based on TNA or URP. Come for Kenyans who have what it takes to help you drive this country forward," he said.
In addition, the judiciary in tandem with the DCI and EACC should present strong cases in court.
Uhuru, further notes the analyst, should address betrayal that has been there since independence by being true to the handshake.
By so doing, the President will leave behind a united nation according to the analyst.
