Kisii County Women representative Janet Ong'era has said she is not scared about her rivals who are busy peddling lies about her leadership.
The MP speaking in Kisii on Wednesday said she has 'tremendous support' from Kisii residents.
"I'm not afraid nor scared by my political enemies. The people of Kisii county elected me to serve them but, not serve the interests of few lazy, selfish individuals," she said.
She vowed to continue empowering women, youth and disabled persons through the Affirmative Action funds kitty.
The opposition allied MP assured that she will help needy and bright children to go to school.
"In order for Kisii county to have doctors, lawyers, teachers and politicians our children must go to school. I'm committed to ensuring need students get bursaries to join schools to learn for the sake of a bright future," she stated.
She appealed to parents not to condone their children at home during school time.
"Parents who won't take their children to school will be my enemies. The government is currently offering free education and therefore, there is no valid reason why children will miss going to school," said Ong'era.
