Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has recently been in the limelight due to his staunch support for Deputy President William Ruto.
The outspoken legislator is serving his second term as a member of parliament and although he has not revealed whether he will be defending his seat in the upcoming general elections, there are speculations that Sudi might be planning to succeed Governor Jackson Mandago who is serving his last term.
If Sudi decides to vie for the Uasin Gishu gubernatorial seat, then he will be a force to reckon with.
Eldoret based tycoon Zedekiah Bundotich who has been termed as the frontrunner for the seat will be forced to go back to the drawing board as Sudi will give him a run for their money.
Sudi's relationship with DP Ruto who is also on a mission to rise to the presidency has made him more popular not only within the county but in the entire country. The vocal MP has been openly defending and fighting DP Ruto's wars to the extent of exchanging words with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
His efforts to defend Ruto have won him the hearts of the majority of Uasin Gishu residents who have vowed to support him should he vie for governor in the upcoming polls.
For this reason, Sudi has a high chance of clinching the Uasin Gishu’s gubernatorial seat if he decides to contest for it.
