According to a mainstream publication, the trio were allegedly found in possession of mobile phones in the exam room, contrary to the provisions by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).

The affected students are said to have been nabbed with foreign materials just before the commencement of Mathematics paper 2.

According to the Education CS Amina Mohamed, any student found to have cheated or even intending to commit the examination malpractice will be discontinued on the spot.

This happens even as the KNEC chairperson George Magoha warned center managers against, especially those at the private institutions, against colluding to cheat in the ongoing national exams.

Magoha affirmed that any private school that will be found shall also be deregistered.

Just a few days ago, KNEC officials revealed that they had arrested two masterminds of exam leakages who have been on their radar for two years.

It is now expected that the arrests and the strict examination rules will help restore sanity in the country's education system.
