Addressing supporters after being declared the winner on Tuesday, the former Rongo lawmaker said that corruption will be a thing of the past under his tenure.

The menace, he said, will be combated using any means possible, vowing to use all the powers allocated to him by the constitution to streamline the county government operations.

"Within two months hatutaki kuskia mambo ya ufisadi hapa, na hilo sio ombi (corruption has to come to an end in this county)," he said.

He further endorsed the ongoing push for constitutional amendments as is proposed by the opposition side.

The Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led side is calling for a referendum to among others, expand the executive arm of government.

According to Ayacko, the same will go a long way in ensuring the trickling down of more resources to counties, therefore better lives for Migori residents.

"Without the reforms we will not have some of the services we require, especially in Migori county," he added.
