The rowdy students chanted anti-Museveni slogans when he was delivering a public lecture at the institution's amphitheatre on Friday evening.

The MP popularly known as Babu Owino who is in Budapest Hungary on an official state visit alongside the Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi said that he warned the Veteran Ugandan President about "stepping foot to Kenya but he never listened".

"I warned Museveni but as usual a fly that does not listen to an advice accompanies the corpse to the grave and are buried together," read his Facebook post.

"This is what Kenyatta University students did. Makes me happy," he added

Babu had been a great critic of the Ugandan President, especially on his stand on not relinquishing power and giving the youth space to exercise their democratic power by electing a new leader.

This followed the arrest and detention of Robert Kyangulanyi alias Bobi Wine for criticising Museveni. Babu, a close friend of the Ugandan MP threatened to lead protests in Uganda.
