A detective attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Molo, Nakuru, and a colleague based at the Kamara divisional headquarters have been arrested over robbery with violence.
According to investigations, the two robbed a private home in Olenguruone Friday night.
In an interesting twist, one of the detectives dropped his gun’s magazine at the crime scene without knowing.
Later he was put to task over the missing magazine on his gun before reports were made on the exhibit at the crime scene.
The two officers have been identified as Arthur Murithi, attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Molo, and Felix Kipkurui Korir of Kamara divisional headquarters.
“(He) was found with Jericho pistol S/No. 45302066 without a magazine. The magazine is the one which was left at the scene of the robbery,” a report at the Molo crime office reads in part.
