Members of Machakos County Assembly (MCAs) have told governor Dr Alfred Mutua to diligently discharge his duties and his regime will be a smooth one.
Led by Matungulu East MCA Cosmus Ngula, the Ward reps said that there wouldn't be wrangles between them and the governor if he did his job well.
"He is saying we are attacking him claiming that we're trying to frustrate his leadership yet he's not performing. We have passed several budgets that have remained unimplemented," said Ngula.
Moses Mitaa who is the Kangundo Central MCA on his part told electorates that the MCA's are doing their jobs well pointing out that it's only that the governor is failing in his work.
He said that the MCA's will be on the governor's neck until he retraces his steps and begins to perform.
"We won't relent until we bring you back in the line, the electorates are observing our work and in 2022 they will determine our political fate, we won't accept failure and that's why we will have to push you," said Mitaa.
The leaders were speaking on Sunday during a fundraising at Kangundo catholic church.
In attendance were former Senator Johnstone Muthama, former deputy governor Benard Kiala, Kathiani Central MCA Dominic Ndambuki among others.
