Nakuru is one of the towns in Kenya where life is simple and less expensive, unlike many other towns. Nakuru, unlike towns like Nairobi, is clean and have houses whose rent is pocket-friendly.

1. Nkata Estate
Nkata estate is some few kilometers from Nakuru town. The estate is very clean with modern houses. Most of the people here live in their homes but there are a few houses for people to rent.
In Nkata a single room costs Sh2,000-Ksh3,500 while a bedsitter costs Sh3,500 to Sh5,000.
2.Mercy Njeri/Kiamunyi
This is a growing estate with fresh air, excellent drainage system, and cheap houses. The security is good as well as transport services.
A single room at Kiamunyi is Sh1,500-Sh3,500 while one bedroom is Sh4,500-Sh8,000.
3. Langalanga
Langalanga is an estate for all types of people and all classes of people.
It is interesting that you can get a one bedroom house for Sh4,000 and a two-bedroom house for Sh8,000. A single room here is between Sh1,500-Sh3,500.
4. Racecourse Estate
Racecourse estate is one of the few estates where people of means live. The houses here are not much expensive though. A one bedroom house goes for Sh6,000-Sh9,000.
Very few single rooms exist in Racecourse but if you are lucky to get one, the cost is Sh3,000-Sh4,500.
