A former Member of Parliament in Kisii County has asked Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to focus working within his docket.
Ex-South Mugirango MP Manson Nyamweya argued that Matiang'i is interfering with other dockets instead of concentrating on streamlining the Interior ministry.
"Matiang'i should stop jumping from one ministry to the other. He should head the Interior Ministry and stop interfering with other Ministries such as Transport and Education," he noted.
According to Nyamweya, Matiang'i must fight indiscipline in the police force.
He warned Matiang'i against helping other ministries while abandoning his docket where he was appointed to serve.
"Attacks from external enemies must come to an end and this can only be achieved if Matiang'i is working around the clock to ensure there is competence in the police force. Matiang'i's role is to ensure Kenyans are protected and not being at the forefront leading police to harass innocent Kenyans more so motorists in the ongoing matatu crackdown," he added.
The Kenya National Congress Party leader urged elected leaders to deliver as by the promises they made during the last year's polls.
