The vocal Mount Kenya politician ushered the New Year in Thika where he addressed revellers.

In a video shared on Facebook by Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, a tipsy Moses Kuria indirectly attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta for considering other regions.

Moses Kuria who has been a great supporter of President Uhuru and the Jubilee Coalition accused him (President Uhuru) for neglecting his home ground when launching developments projects across the country.

“Basi leo, ata nikiwaambia jambo msinichukulie serious sana. Leo ni siku ya kuvukisha mwaka na kushukuru Mungu kwa sababu ya pahali ametufikisha.”

This loosely translate to: “Don’t take me serious when I tell you something today. We are celebrating a New Year and thanking God for the far he has brought us.”

“Ii mambo kazi yetu ni kupiga kura na baada ya kupiga kura maendeleo tunapeana kwingine. Io ujinga tuache. Kufungua maji kwingine, kufungua barabara kwingine, kufungua stima kwingine,” said a furious Kuria.

This loosely translates to: “We cannot be voting politicians into power and they take development projects elsewhere. We should stop that nonsense. Water, roads and electricity projects are opened in other areas.”

His comments were received differently by people. Former Kiambu governor William Kabogo felt it was bad for Kuria to tell the Head of State “wacha ujinga.”

“How can Moses Kuria say that HE UK should wacha ujinga. Shame on him!” said Kabogo.
