Speaking after the team beat Ghana 1-0 in a qualifying match on Saturday at the Kasarani Stadium; Mulee said the team can go all the way if they play like they did against the Black Stars.

“However, they still have a lot to do to break the jinx but I believe the current generation is ripe to reach the Afcon finals,” Mulee said when speaking to Nation.

He further added: “We need now shift focus to the two games against Ethiopia, win and start dreaming of qualifying,”

Mulee led the team to the last final appearances in 2004, where they won one match; a 3-0 win over Burkina Faso.

The team has since been performing poorly in a major tournament and qualification matches but managed to find their footing on Saturday.

They lost the first match 2-1 away to Sierra Leon and will have a chance to build on the current momentum with two matches against Ethiopia.

They won the second match under coach Sebastian Migne, beating Malawi 1-0 on Tuesday at the Moi Kasarani.
