Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr is poised to succeed former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga, controversial political analyst Professor Mutahi Ngunyi on Sunday sensationally claimed.
According to the analyst, who is known for his tyranny of numbers theory, Mutula has what it takes to fit in the shoes of the opposition leader upon his retirement from politics.
Ngunyi said that Mutula is young and energetic enough to take over the leadership if given the chance upon Raila’s departure from the political arena.
"We have a challenge for the young Mutula Kilonzo, he can become the leader of the Raila orphans. Are you seeing what we are seeing?" Mutahi posed.
He also said that it is a wake-up call for the senator to rise and prove his worth in the party.
Mutahi said that he is aware that the senator has flaws but he can work on them for his good.
Mutula has been very vocal on matters of national interest since he entered into the political arena.
He succeeded his late father, former Machakos Senator Mutula Kilonzo senior following his demise.
He has been one of the strongest supporters of the former Prime Minister and is also seen to be the next governor of Makueni.
