Africa football governing body, CAF, has fined Kenya Premier League giants Gor Mahia FC, hitting them with a fine of Sh500,000.
The penalty was meted on Gor by the CAF Disciplinary Board following a match report of the clash.
This was occasioned by what CAF termed as the host fans' purportedly conducted themselves in unsporting and offensive behavior, during the CAF Confederation Cup match against the Rayon Sports played last month at Kasarani.
Part of the report sent to the FKF CEO Robert Muthomi noted that "The host spectators were calm till Rayon Sports scored the second goal; it is when they began to throw water bottles and other objects to the players.'
FKF has noted that Gor Mahia can appeal the decision through the CAF appeal Board.
