Deputy President William Ruto, who has recently earned the moniker Mr. Money Bags, left Molo people a happy lot on Saturday, August 11 after dishing millions during a harambee.
Ruto was attending a harambee for the construction of a dormitory at the Elburgon Secondary School where he was hosted by Molo MP Kuria Kimani.
The DP helped raise more than Sh10 million for the construction of the dormitory. The Ministry of Education contributed Sh5 million, President Uhuru Kenyatta Sh1 million as well as his deputy.
Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui Sh200, 000, Senator Susan Kihika Sh100, 000, Nakuru Women Rep Liz Chelule Sh50, 000 and area MP Kuria Kimani Sh100, 000.
Elburgon businessman Dan Mwangi also gave Sh200, 000, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria Sh100, 000 as well as Kirinyaga Women Rep Purity Ngirici.
Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri, Kikuyu’s Kimani Ichung’wa among a host of other leaders also contributed to the project.
Apart from the harambee, Ruto promised Elburgon Nyayo Ward hospital Sh20 million for modernization.
He also promised Sh50 million equipment from the government for Elburgon Technical Training College.
