A Member of Parliament from Nyamira County on Sunday shamed Governor John Nyagarama on Sunday accused Governor John Nyagarama of allegedly being surrounded by cartels.
West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi challenged Nyagarama to keep off cartels who are allegedly derailing his performance to the people of Nyamira.
"We want to see accelerated development in Nyamira County. Nyagarama should stop condoning some few individuals who have turned to be cartels mismanaging the county."
Mr Kemosi said it is shameful for President Uhuru Kenyatta to skip Nyamira in his planned Gusii region trip next week due to sluggish development.
"There is no development project Mr Kenyatta can come to launch in Nyamira and this may see him not stepping in Nyamira. Nyagarama should re-organize his government well after his 2017 election victory was upheld by the Supreme court," he noted.
The opposition allied MP regretted that the county boss has no good working relationship with some MCAs in the county.
"MCAs, and Nyagarama office should maintain a good working relationship for the sake of bringing development in the county," he added.
He was speaking on Sunday at Nyantaro village at the funeral of business mogul Moturi Ong'era who died a fortnight ago at Nairobi Hospital.
