Two Nyanza secondary schools have excelled in the just released 2018 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
According to results released by Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Education Amina Mohammed, Maseno School in Kisumu County and Maranda High School in Siaya County produced a total of four candidates in the top 20 list.
Maseno School produced three, while Maranda produced one candidate.
James Kaluna of Maseno was the second best student nationally, his colleague Humphrey Rasugu was position five, while Allan Ochieng of Maranda was ranked tenth nationally.
Joshua Ochieng of Maseno School was ranked position 19.
Maseno and Maranda are among the top schools in the Nyanza region, and have been performing well over the years.
