An MCA from Gusii community has condemned Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka for endorsing Deputy President William Ruto for presidency in 2022.
Vincent Moisabi, the Riana ward MCA claimed that Mr. Onyonka is confused loitering around with DP Ruto.
"Onyonka is seeking to remain relevant in politics because he is aware he can't win Kisii County top seat in 2022. His endorsement on DP Ruto should be ignored," said the MCA.
He said no one is going to force Gusii residents to support DP Ruto.
The ward representative noted that the electorates should be allowed to make their own decisions when right time comes.
"The confused lawmaker won't decide on who the Gusii community should vote for. Let him focus on his MP role because 2022 is too early to make unnecessary endorsements," he said.
This comes after Mr. Onyonka on Saturday public endorsed DP Ruto for the country's top seat in 2022.
Onyonka said Ruto is capable of leading this country once President Uhuru Kenyatta completes his second and last term in office.
