The wonderkid helped Les Bleus reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup as he scored twice in their round-of-16 tie against Argentina as well as producing a beautiful run to earn a penalty for Antoine Griezmann’s opener.

Despite having already scored at the tournament against Peru, the win announced Mbappe’s arrival on the world stage and confirmed his status as one of, if not the, most exciting teenagers.

And this extends off the pitch too, with L’Equipe reporting Mbappe will donate all of his earnings from France’s exploits at the World Cup to charity.

The charity, Premiers de Cordée which offers sports introductions for hospitalized children and disability awareness campaigns for schools and businesses, will receive the entirety of Mbappe’s earnings at the World Cup no matter how well France fare at the tournament.

But this is nothing new for the 19-year-old when it comes to the French national team. According to L’Equipe, Mbappe donated his participation bonuses for representing France to a different charity after every match, which roughly worked out to €20,000 per appearance.

This is reportedly due to Mbappe believing that wages are unnecessary to play for France and that the money would be better used to help charities and humanitarian causes.

Mbappe also participated in paying for an educational trip to Russia of 25 students from Saint-Denis.

While many eyes were on Lionel Messi to take control in France’s last-16 tie against Argentina, it was Mbappe who used the opportunity best to announce himself.
