There is currently a lot of anxiety across Kisii County Primary schools after it emerged that the Kenya National Examinations Council KNEC will release the 2018 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education KCPE exam results today, Monday, November 19, 2018.
A spot check done this morning reveals that most candidates who sat for the exams are panicking anxiously waiting for the results to be announced by Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed.
Some of the 2018 KCPE candidate interviewed said KNEC has caught them off-guard.
"I was not expecting the results today. I am anxious only praying God to award me good marks," said Purity Nyaboke who sat for the exams at Suneka Primary.
Another candidate Isaiah Okindo who sat for the exams at Nyamerako primary revealed that she will not return to her home until the exams are announced.
"I will only go back home once the results are out because I am fearing getting low marks. I am leaving everything to God," said Okindo.
A teacher Jared Nyangeresi at Kisii Primary said pupils did their best and they should wait for the results.
"Candidates should not panic, let them wait for the final results at 1 pm," he said.
He expressed confidence that Kisii Primary will emerge among the top scorers in Kisii County.
