A Nakuru politician was forced to run for his dear life after a meeting he was to address turned hostile.
Biashara Ward MCA Njoroge Wanyaguthie was set to address hawkers in Nakuru town but they became hostile as women heckled him.
They accused the first time MCA of becoming arrogant after ‘they helped’ him win the seat in 2017.
“You have forgotten you had nothing and we sacrificed ourselves to help you. Now you can come here and insult us, kwenda kabisa,” one female hawker was heard shouting.
The women claimed the MCA has developed a bad tongue and no longer recognize him.
“Kwenda kabisa, kweli maskini akipata matako inaanza kulia. Usifanye tutoe nguo, enda kabisa,” Mary Wanjiru, who said they used to hawk with the MCA before he was elected, said.
A video of the drama that ensued during the meeting was shared online by Nakuru blogger Elijah Kinyanjui.
The youthful politician made his political debut with a wave after hawkers in the Nakuru market ganged up to propel him to the high seat of power.
