Kisumu All Stars hopes of booking a Kenya Premier League (KPL) promotion slot after a single season in the second tier National Super League (NSL) suffered a major blow on Saturday.
The Nickanor Aketch led side managed a scoreless draw against visitors Coast Stima at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.The team has now has not won a game in the past six features.
The last time All Stars won an NSL match was on May 1, when the team defeated visiting Police FC 1-0.The side now lies 11th on the 19-team-NSL table with 27 points after 20 rounds of play.

In Nairobi, Ken Kenyatta’s Ushuru FC beat Western Stima 3-2 in a clash of former premier league sides at the Ruaraka Stadium.
The win moved Ushuru FC top of the table with 41 points, four ahead of Western Stima.
KCB is third with 36 points, while Nairobi Stima lies fourth with 35 points. KCB and Nairobi Stima both have a game in hand, which means they will go past Western Stima if they both win their respective matches.
Kangemi All Stars drew 1-1 with Nakuru All Stars while Nakuru based St Joseph Youth beat Eldoret’s GFE 3-1 in other matches played on Saturday.
