Police on Tuesday killed two suspected thugs in Gatundu South after a fierce shootout.

Reports indicate that the suspects were nabbed trying to rob a bar located in Gatitu in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

Neighbours to the pub alerted nearby police officers after hearing a commotion from the premises.

Upon arrival, a shootout ensued killing the two instantly.The bodies of the two are being reserved at the city mortuary. 

Police managed to arrest two more suspects while the third ones escaped.

His body was later recovered in a nearby farm and it is believed that he succumbed to his injuries.
