Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday hosted a host of women Members of Parliament and the Gender, Youth Affairs and Public Service Cabinet Secretary Prof. Margret Kobia at his Karen offices in Nairobi.
The DP later tweeted that "We are working on enabling legislation to increase representation of women in political and economic decision-making processes, which will create a sustainable society."
"Providing women and girls with equal access to education, work and healthcare will end gender discrimination," noted the DP in part of his tweet.
This, however, elicited mixed reactions from Twitter users, with some faulting the 'over-focus' on the girls and women issues at the expense of the boychild.
Some even took the opportunity to express themselves and ask for help.
