It now emerges that the looming visit of President Uhuru Kenyatta to Luo Nyanza could see him visit opposition leader Raila Odinga's home in Opoda Farm.
The Head f State is expected to touch down in Kisumu county where he will be received by the latter, before proceeding to launch the Universal Healthcare Coverage in the county on Thursday.
On Friday, December 14, President Kenyatta is expected to move on to Odinga's Siaya County bedrock where he will visit the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga mausoleum.
Oginga was the founding Vice President who served as founding father Jomo Kenyatta's deputy between 1963 and 1966.
It is expected that Kenyatta will be hosted for lunch at the former Prime Minister's farm in Bondo, about 10 kilometres from the mausoleum in Kang'o Ka Jaramogi in Sakwa.
During the tour, reports on the Standard, indicate that the two are expected to host joint roadside rallies, nine months after their ceasefire following the enmity emanating from their competition for the presidency in the 2017 elections.
In Siaya, the Head of State will launch a number of projects, including water initiatives.
Odinga has since called upon his supporters from the region to give the President a warm welcome befitting his level as the Head of State.
