Former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Erick Mutua has taken a low political life after unsuccessfully contesting for the Mwingi Central parliamentary seat in 2017 general election.
Mutua's whereabouts remain unknown even as the 2022 succession and Kamba politics takes shape.
Political analyst Peter Ngure says Mutua can be a good leader if he packages himself well.
Ngure observes that the former LSK boss has what it takes to make it in politics.
“Erick Mutua is among sober and humble leaders who can make a meaningful contribution to Ukambani and the country’s political arena,” Ngure said.
He spoke to this writer on Tuesday.
The analyst said the former LSK boss can make a good leader but lacks a political mentorship.
Ngure asked Mutua to scout for political mentorship before biding for any seat in the 2022 general election.
The former LSK boss unsuccessfully contested for the Mwingi Central parliamentary seat as an independent candidate after he lost in the Wiper party nominations.
The seat was won by Gideon Mulyungi of Wiper Party.
