Even as Statehouse announced major changes in top parastatals by latest appointments, the Head of State has remained missing in action.

The president has not been in the limelight ever since he returned from his China trip.

This happens even as reports indicate that, together with the African Union (AU) envoy Raila Odinga, failed to secure new SGR from the Chinese government.

Uhuru's silence has further been aggravated by the fact that all his social media accounts, both Facebook and Twitter, were recently deactivated by top State House operatives under unclear circumstances.

By the fact that the Presidency is a symbol of national unity, his whereabouts ought to be made public by his office.

The relevant statehouse operatives should come out and update Kenyans on whereabouts of their President.

But even s the President’s 'missing' inaction continues to elicit divergent guesses, one of his signature projects,  the SGR,  continues to be rocked by fresh controversies.

Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia now claims the government will no longer revive the defunct Nakuru-Kisumu railway lines. Instead, the government has hinted on revamping the Naivasha-Malaba lines.
