Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has attracted criticism from a section of Kenyans over his pronouncement that he wants nurses to go back to work.
Renowned political analyst Herman Manyora joined the critics in his analysis, claiming Raila Odinga should not always support President Uhuru Kenyatta even in matters he ought not to.
"I am disturbed by what is coming from Raila, I love and respect him but I must tell him to shut up," the analyst said.
The analyst added if former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has to speak in support of the government, then he must speak what makes sense and resonate with Kenyans.
The analyst opines that of late, Raila Odinga is coming out badly.
"The latest is his support for Uhuru Kenyatta on matters concerning the striking nurses," Prof Manyora said.
The analyst says in as much as Raila supports the government, he needs to remain the voice of the voiceless.
He argues that is wrong for him to support the government analogy that they have no money when the same government spends a lot of money on "useless activities."
"The government is telling nurses to shut up, I chose to tell Raila to shut up if the only thing you have to talk about nurses is to support the government by saying government does not have money, " he said.
The analyst argued the government is losing a lot of money on corruption and useless trips when they can pay nurses.
According to Manyora, Raila Odinga as a bigger brother should be helping Uhuru see the need to fix the health care system.
