Deputy President William Ruto hates people and will never be president of Kenya, Central Organisation of Trade Unions Secretary General Francis Atwoli has said.
Speaking at Lugari MP Ayub Savula's home on Saturday, Atwoli insisted that Ruto's presidential dreams are unrealistic adding that a Kalenjin might be president but not Ruto.
"He hates people alot. Ruto will never lead Kenya. We shall have a President in 2022, but it will not be William Ruto," the Cotu boss said.
His sentiments conquered with those of Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe who spoke in Rarieda and ruled out chances of Dr Ruto succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Murathe, he might be forced to move to the Supreme Court to block Ruto, arguing that he should retire jointly with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Presidency is a pair. If the president is not around, his deputy takes over automatically. He should not be allowed to run after serving two terms," he said.
On the controversial Luhya unity, Atwoli insisted that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi remained the de facto kingpin but faulted his laxity, adding that he has allowed Ruto to encroach Western Kenya.
He said that he's in talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga to discuss ability of Mudavadi becoming president in 2022.
