Kenyans have taken on social media following Gatundu South Mp Moses Kuria's amendment bill that seeks to introduce new cabinet structure.
Kuria who has since forwarded the proposed law to Speaker Justin Muturi, says that the bill is aimed at ensuring that inclusion.
He says that he expects sufficient goodwill from all stakeholders adding that the bill will save Sh10 Billion from taxpayers allocated to Building Bridges.
According to the proposed law, the government will comprise of President, Deputy President, Prime Minister and two deputies, not more than 26 Ministers and 26 Assistants.
The bill also states that the President should vie on a joint ticket with his or her choice of deputy President, Prime Ministers and two deputies, with all five coming from different ethnic groups.
Kenyans have expressed mixed reactions regarding the proposed law that seeks to introduce Prime Minister's post. A number of Kenyans have noted that the law will only burden Kenyans with an increase in the wage bill.
Others opined that the bill was meant to reward tribe chiefs. A section of Kenyans disagreed with him saying that a bill of that nature needs a referendum which Kenyans are opposed to.
