Kibera MP Ken Okoth has finally broken silence on Migori governor Okoth Obado's arrest and prosecution over Sharon Otieno’s murder.
The ODM MP says that the law should take its course and justice rendered to the deceased and her unborn baby.
Speaking to residents in Kibera's Sarangombe Ward on Wednesday, Okoth said that no one is immune to arrest and prosecution if there is evidence implicating him or her.
Okoth said that Sharon’s family is yearning for justice, adding that relevant agencies should ensure that everyone who took part in the murder is arrested and charged in court.
“The law must take its course and people linked to the murder arrested and charged irrespective of the positions they hold,” he said.
The MP however said that Obado and all other accused persons in the murder are innocent until proven guilty.
He asked Kenyans to stop making presumptions and allow justice to take its course.
Governor Obado alongside his Personal Assistant (PA) Michael Oyamo have been charged with the murder of Sharon Otieno.
The two are remanded at the Industrial Area remand prison.
