Matiang'i said police won't spare elected leaders and those aspiring to be leaders to misuse local jobless youths.

"Every Kenyan must follow the law. Those politicians from Gusii community hiring goons to cause chaos at funerals must stop before the law catches up with them. Fame doesn't come through hiring goons," he stated.

According to Matiang'i young people who have ventured into the Boda boda business are the ones who are hired as goons.

He challenged police officers to be on the watch to ensure goons doesn't get room to cause disturbance anywhere across Gusii region during this festive season.

"Police must intensify security patrols across all corners in Gusii region to curb any crime. People must celebrate Christmas in a peaceful environment without being harassed by local criminals," he added.

Matiang'i vowed that the war on illicit brew which is rampant across the region will continue.

"Community members selling illicit liquor won't be spared by the law. It is advisable for people to engage in legal businesses," said Matiang'i.
