The body of Kenyan doctor who died in Cuba while on further studies was yesterday in the afternoon buried.
It was alleged doctor Ali Juma Mwasaa committed suicide due to many challenges and frustrations he was facing in the foreign country.
This made the government to send a team of experts to Cuba to asses and determine what Kenyan doctors are facing and their living standards in general.
His body was received at Moi International Airport Mombasa, taken to for a second post-mortem at the Mombasa Coast Provincial General Hospital before they proceeded for a burial ceremony in his home, Shikadabu, Mtongwe Ward, Likoni Constituency.
Several Coast leaders attended his burial including Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho who took it on Facebook to share pictures of the event.
"This afternoon, accompanied by leaders from the coast region, Mombasa County staff and residents, we joined hands in sending off the late Dr. Ali Juma Mwasaa in Mtongwe, Likoni Sub County. His body arrived today from Cuba where he passed on. May the Almighty rest his soul in peace and grant his family patience during this difficult time. Innalilahy wainnalahy rajiunn," he posted.
