Being a grandparent is one of the greatest things in life.
As a grandparent, you get the opportunity of seeing another generation of you making their first step and growing big.
Grandparent enjoys a lot as they get a chance of spending time with their little grandchildren most especially during holidays.
Also, they get a chance of reminding themselves about how children should be brought up in a new generation.
However, as a grandparent, what should you do and what should you not do?
This is a question that most grandparents are unlikely, not able to answer.
Just to let you know, here are some things that as a grandparent, you should never do.
1. Insist on outfits for the new baby
Welcoming a new baby in the family lineage makes everyone happy most especially the grandparents.
After welcoming a newborn, grandparents are likely to be tempted to choose an outfit for their grandchild.
However, this is a habit that any grandparent should stop doing, as the decision on what outfit the child should wear should be decided by the parents.
2. Give naming advice
In some families, it is a habit of passing names down the generation.
However, when it comes to the naming of the child, grandparents should never interfere as they should give the parents of the child a humble time deciding on the baby’s name.
3. Disregard parents’ choices about discipline
It is always upon the grandparents to adhere to the rules set by the parents when it comes to means of discipline their children.
Getting in between this might result in a rough confrontation between the grandparents and parents.
