In a video that has been dubbed ‘Zero chills’ by netizens, a tipsy Kuria accuses Uhuru of neglecting the region that voted him when it comes to development as he embraces ‘Nyanza which did not vote for him’.

The vocal legislator accused the President of using his home county as ‘voting machines’.

“We can no longer accept to be treated the way we are being treated. When the President he goes to other places, he launches development projects but here in our county he only gives certificates of [rehabilitated] alcoholics,” Kuria said.

The MP was referring to a function where Uhuru awarded alcoholic reforms with certificates in Kiambu.

Kuria, who admits in the video of having been drunk (taken something little), wonders why the President launched major roads for construction in Nyanza during a recent trip yet he has not been in Kiambu for a major project launching.

“Munene atige gutukuwa wana (The president should stop taking us for granted),” Kuria said amid cheers from the crowd.

The MP also said he will lead negotiations for counties to get allocations from the National Treasury based on their population.

“Our governor here gets Sh8 billion while Turkana gets Sh12 billion, we cannot go on like that,” he said.
