The Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has once again been put on the spot over allegations of negligence.

In a video doing rounds on social media, a woman narrates how her mother was knocked down by a motorbike as she was coming from church, leaving her with serious head injuries.

The woman claims her mother was taken to KNH but could not be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to lack of space at the unit.

"We pleaded with doctors, but they said there was no space at ICU and kept on telling us 'they are trying'. After two days my mother was not waking up but the doctors never cared. I talked to doctor Zawadi telling her my mum was in critical condition but nobody bothered," says the lady.

The woman claims the doctors later called her informing her of her mother's demise, and even offered her counselling services.

She now wants action taken against the hospital, arguing that her mother died due to negligence.

She further noted that she is now hiding from police officers as the doctors allegedly want her arrested for recording videos of what transpired at the hospital.

Kiambu residents have reacted after the video was posted on the United States of Kiambu Facebook group, with the majority of them sympathising with the woman.  Here are some of the reactions:
